What happens if I get locked out of my rental property with McAdam & Turnbull Realty?
If you lose your keys or lock them inside the house, then the agency keys will be available to you to borrow if during our business hours.
If it is outside our business hours and we happen to be in the office or nearby, you may still be able to borrow them.
Thinking about this, if you owned the house, there would not be a real estate agency holding a set of keys for you to assist if you get locked out. You would have no option but to call a locksmith.
As agency owners, we have a responsibility to ensure we are always nearby the phone for emergency maintenance calls and rarely it is more than a couple of hours before we attend to issues.
However, when it comes to us needing to be close enough to the office 24/7 to access your house keys after hours, that is asking a little too much of us.
You can ring the emergency maintenance phone after hours 46392222 and ask but don’t be offended if we are not in a position to provide you with keys at that time.
The option then is to ring a 24 hour locksmith to open the door for you.
